Travel Insurance

Get covered before you go

Traveling is exciting - visiting new places, trying new activities. Unfortunately, you never know what may happen. That's why it is best to get travel insurance for your next adventure vacation.

Travel insurance is very important. There are hundreds of reasons why you might have to cancel your trip or cut it short, or you could face a medical emergency while you're away. Common situations include flight cancellations, lost luggage or prescriptions, stolen wallets and passports, accidents requiring medical evaluation and treatment, sudden illness or death of a loved one at home or bankruptcy of a travel or tour operator. Travel insurance can be purchased through your travel agent, a private insurance company or other avenues such as your work or bank. If you think you're already covered by a plan, make sure to read it carefully. Don't assume protection from your credit card company will be enough - most provide limited coverage only up to a certain amount.

Travel insurance choices on-line are abundant. That is why it is important to check around. Prices vary, as do the policies themselves, some covering for more or less cancellation, interruption and delay circumstances than others. Another factor to consider is the level of customer service you receive and what they can offer while you're away, such as 24-hour emergency assistance, immediate coverage, foreign representatives and fast claims.
