Group Cycling and Mountain Biking Trips

The countryside with an informed guide

Guided bicycle trips and tours combine the independence of biking at your own pace with service of a guide and van support, where your luggage is moved between nightly accommodations for you. The vehicle also provides support in case of injury or fatigue. You will also experience the pleasure of meeting other adventurers who you will probably have a lot in common with.

Biking trips that are guided vary in difficulty and itineraries. Groups are small and rarely travel in a pack, rather they spread out during the day's ride, ending up together at that night's inn, lodge or hotel to share experiences, eat and sleep in preparation for the next day.

Bicycle tours are geared towards families, with itineraries designed for children; attention to children's particular needs and discounted accommodations are offered.

Cycling tour guides will brief you about each day, and adapt your personal route to be longer, shorter, harder or easier based on the area. Typically you will bike for a few hours each day, enjoying a sit-down breakfast and dinner and lunch and snacks on the road.

Bicycle tour operators will normally loan or rent you a bike, often equipped with toe clips, a handlebar bag and a lock. You may want to bring your own helmet or wear one of theirs. They will usually provide a 'what to bring' list upon registration prior to your trip.
